M13: 55x 5 min ISO1600 (19 subs on May 3 and 36 subs on May 4$), 18 darks, 20 flats and 20 bias, in addition to 36x60 sec with 36 darks, 20 flats and 20 bias for the core. I do have a reflection which I think originates from the focuser tube/MPCC as I haven't experienced this before I started using the MPCC. Also the core could do with even shorter exposures I think.
Calibration, registration and stacking (Kappa-Sigma) in DSS, Color balance in Nebulosity, Post-processing in CS3 (Gradient removal, Levels, Saturation, HLVG and M13 core HDR using layer mask)

Yes combining the short with long exposures provided me with the best of both. Nice details form the deep exposure, and a reasonably resolved core with the short exposure. The deep exposure just had a white blob at the core.

Scope was an 8" Skywatcher Blackline Newton at F/5. Camera was a Self modded Baader ACF Canon 350D (also TEC modden but not operational yet)
