Trevor,

There are two ways you can get spike in a refractor. First you can put string across the aperature in a "+" or "x" configuration. The second is to purchas a Photoshop plugin called StarSPikes Pro.

Bernard, your work is really top notch stuff. I am not a star cluster guy...mostly because I am no good at shooting them, but this is beautiful. The Tec-140 is a apo refractor, yes? What is causing the diffraction spikes? Marvelous work!
