Thanks guys, to be honest I didn't pay much attention to the f-stop setting once I saw the images were looking pretty good. It might have been set at f-5.4 @ ISO 800. I had the camera on a JMI piggy back mount on the Meade 8" SCT which was mounted on the CGEM. I used the guide camera for guiding since the longest sub exposures were 210 sec. Although I'm pretty sure I didn't have to guide for such a wide field exposure- I use the guider for all exposures now since it allows me to take longer exposures while still attaining round stars and is easy to set up in place of my finder scope. The 18-55 mm zoom lense is the stock Canon lense that came with the camera, I opened it up to about 29 mm. I use Backyard EOS for all exposures now. If you have any tips for wide angle exposures I appreciate the feedback. Cheers- John

Nice! Could you further explain your set-up?

Hey John, nice series of wide field shots.
Your stars look nice and round so you must be stopping down a couple clicks on that stock lense.
How long is each subframe on your stack?
