Wupatki National Monument Arizona, the pueblo in the image is around 900 years old and at one time it was four stories tall. Captured with a Canon T1i, Exp 30 sec, Aperture 3.5, ISO 3200, processed in SC6.

BTW Trevor.....you have had a standing invitation to come out state side for a visit for over a year now. You are always welcome, we can meet up with Russ too. FYI Winter is coming to flagstaff really soon, man I wish I lived up there. it must be my tree hugging 32 year Canadian roots coming out.

Hey Trevor, As Russ pointed out it is really dark and the visibility amazing. The stars and the Milky Way are so bright you can walk by them giving a good bit of light on the ground. This area at Wupatki is about 42 miles north east of downtown Flagstaff and is also at a lowe elevation and is in somewhat of a bowl. It was much darker here than at the crater which is 18 miles from downtown Flagstaff but most of the light is blocked from flag by the San Fancisco peeks at 12800ft and flag is at 7000-7500. Hey Russ is my math correct? LOL!

The area he shot this in the Milky Way is visible horizon to horizon.

Amazing how "bright" the milk way came out. How much of this was actually visible when you took the shot? You have enough to do mosaic?
