No LP filt. in the train, but I'm wondering if the AT flattener may be the problem. Saw that post by Fred, I've seen tons of posts on LP filts. over at CN, but nothing concerning that light issue (mostly on white balance in post processing). That was interesting, although a few more details would be helpful to people looking at purchasing one. Marc
Another thought - are you using a LP filter by chance? Or any place where filters are doubled up? Fred posted some interesting info regarding one name brand filter tested against another back on Aug 23. Check that out too.
Russ, thanks. I'm going to be taking my camera off (to take a new set of darks in fridge) before I do I'll try that out. I only have one rotatable connection (at scope) but that should provide some indication (if) that is the problem. Marc

Not sure if it's internal or external but I think I would start by rotating parts to see if I could figure out which component might be causing it. Take a test shot as a control frame - start with the camera and rotate it 90 degs and take another test shot. Work you way up to the focuser. Just thinking about this while I'm typing, if it's the optics then that would change with the camera rotation. Everything else wouldn't. Hmmm, this is a tough one.
I obviously have a reflection problem here and I was wondering if any of you have had a similar issue. I'm not sure if it is an external light leak or an internal reflection? Below is an uncalibrated shot from the other night w/basically the same thing. After that is my imaging setup (at111edt,moonlight focuser,at flattener,st8300edt,sbig 5 wheel). If it is internal ideas on how to fix it (physically(preferable) or in post process). Thanks
