I added more frames to reduce the noise, did a little more local contrast enhancement, a selective noise filtering. Oh, I also rotated it a bit. Better composition, I think.

Yeap! And we all know how easy it is to get carried away by that imagination, coupled with a powerful tool like Photoshop :)))

Thanks, Ian. I like your M63 image - I'll have to try that one next time. The supernova has dimmed a lot, I think. If I stretch the heck out of the L image highlight it seems like maybe you can distinguish the SN from the core, but it's like splitting a binary star: Sometimes it requires 'averted imagination'!

Greg, It's a beauty! Beats mine ;) I need to add more frames, too, for sure. Were you able to spot the supernova?
