Very nice,,even though I don't do much Astro any more I follow the web sites and know well the work you put in it,,I still on occasion set up the C5 and do live close up video of the moon for the APT dwellers.

My first instinct was to throw this image away. But,hey, Vega is a standard in the heavens. A Beacon. Find Vega and you've found your way. You know about what latitude you're at, you know your cardinal directions. And if you're familiar with the sky, Vega guides you to all the other stars you need to navigate the heavens....

Hi, Chas, good question. Actually, I didn't use software.
This is a result of seriously overexposing a bright star, shot through a newtonian reflector, and having a focal reducer in in optical plane. The white spikes are actually formed from the spider vanes. The aquamarine spikes were caused by stray light bouncing around in the focal reducer. Sorry....
