I shot this target a while ago with my "workhorse" AT111 scope, but wanted to get a wider field, so went to the WO Star71 scope, but was a bit disappointed that it didn't include more. Guess I'll have to do a mosaic!

The bright red appearance of the "Garnet Star" is interesting and appropriate, but actually the result of a fluke: The red in this image is defined by the S-II channel and it happened that they sky was a bit hazy when I shot the S-II, creating a halo around this very bright star, which then became red when combined with the other channels.
