Thanks, Steve. This is a composite image shot with a Canon 30D. The original image containing the background sky was shot at 1/2 second. Then the image with black sky and correctly exposed moon was shot at 1/8000. second.Photoshop did the rest.
Isn't it a shame we have to go through so many gyrations to mimic the same thing the unaided eye can see...
