Niiiiiice! You have tons of nebulosity around the Crescent, and tons of detail too, but you haven't burned out the brightest parts of the Crescent. Good stuff! :-)

That is a really fine image. Well caught.

Thanks for the comments guys.

It was tough getting two hours of this one; it was guerrilla astrophotography with the clouds most of the night. I would have liked to have gotten some [OIII] and [SII] for a mapped colour image using Richard Crisp's method, but baby steps for now, I suppose. That and by 0400 it was starting to get bright again.

Overall, I'm really impressed by the performance of the camera and the filters. I really wasn't expecting something like this as I was only pushing exposures out to 10 minutes. I had some guiding issues earlier in the night, but I managed to Iron these out thanks to Mark and Jeff. Anyway, I hope to get some more scope time soon, even if it is ducking in and out of cloud cover...

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I think that even at 10 minutes, I'm suffering from DF. Am I imagining things?

You must be psyched, you finally got some sky and you made good use of it-sweet. Like that 3nm, gives nice detail. Marc
