There was a little shade here, but if I were shooting in regular sunlight white balance with a stock camera, I'd have shot this all the same. But I'm no photographer!

Also, just to be clear, the point of this exercise was to demonstrate how well a custom white balance works on a modded camera (or CLS filtered stock camera). Not to actually use the modded camera for normal everyday photography.

If you want to use your modded camera for normal photography, I'd recommend getting the Astronomik original cut clip in filter here:

Neil, was curious how much change in the light conditions, in your estimation, warrants shooting a new cwb. This shot looks like it was in the shade (streaks of sunlight top(?)) is this the same cwb you used in the brighter shots. Thanks, Marc PS asking because I recently went to a ccd cam and want to get some use out of my 1000d (mod) w/non-astro shots
