I like my NexImage .
Haven;t used it much on the Sun , but since I had its sensor replaced with a B&W one , I see a huge differrence , either at slar imaging , or planetary .

David, nice grab. I am not a Sun guy, but this is really nice. Well done.

Thanks Alexandros.....was just mentioning to SJ that I think with the Neximage, it's more luck than consistency of technique. I'll look through some other solar images, but that's one of my best, if not the best.

It is amazing. Whenever I see nice solar, lunar or planetary shots I'm dumbfounded if it's a Neximage. Usually the Imaging Source shots are much crisper than either the Neximage or TouCam. Hope your filter works - it's nice having something to do in daylight. Dying to get out and try my moded Canon, Stellarvue 70 and also just ordered an Astrotech f/4 imaging Newtonian after I sold my Celestron 8SE. I had mount troubles in Dec but found it was caused by my adapter having only 1.5 amps - got one now with 4 amps - need 2 minimum. Waiting for spring and at least can start some solar imaging.

Holy cow! Thats amazing a Neximage took that.. I have a Neximage, have not even messed with it yet.
I got in filter material from Seymore solar and I am making a filter for My i-optron R-80 smartstar.. This looks very promising and I am really glad you posted this.

Thanks SJ, this was taken with my Coronado PST and Neximage. Since then, I've sold my Neximage and going to sell my Philips Tou cam (both have the same chip) and just ordered an Imaging Source DBK21AU as ccd for lunar, solar and planetary so anxious to see how it works. Would love a bigger solar scope but like Marc mentioned, way more wants than money. Waiting here for the snow to stop and skies to clear and warm up a bit. Expecting another foot of the white stuff tonight. Loooonnnnggg winter. Haven't been out since xmas time.
