A boy and his toy, too cool man
from the camera? Can you take a picture?
I've got all my cables through the mount except for the camera power and my focuser (serial cables) not through the mount, and was figuring the pre-made ones would totally work. But my camera didn't turn on when I had it plugged in through the mount and my focuser was trying to move but wouldn't. kind of a trip.
No the guy before me cut them off, said they were too big a hassle. I obviously havent used them. I have a 2" wire tube (flexible) I run them though and hangs down from the camera.
Dave, have you used the pre-existing cabling through the mount plugs? Mine don't seem to be working.
yes I've got it set up, tonight is clear, I'll snap a phone shot and post. Really excited, have my software conflict resolved as it wasn't a software conflict but they gave me Tpoint for windows not the tpoint add on for skyX.. so that's resolved and I'm going to line it up, polar align, and shoot something. SUPER excited.
Yea, lets see it full decked out (or maybe not cos I'm going to drool all over my keyboard lol). Marc
So is it dialed in yet? Updated pics?
Thanks guys. Cost me an arm and a leg. This will be remembered as the only inheritance I got from my father who passed three years ago, as the money for it came from an investment he did 6 years ago, so... thanks dad.
WOW! what a mount Charles, you will have a lot of hours(a life) of astronomy with this solid and unbealivable set-up...congratulations for your new shopping!
Last night, with just a very quick crude alignment, I was tracking a star and went in for Taco's, took half hour timeout, came back, star had barely moved. This thing flipping works and way better than I had anticipated. It's solid.
