I took the plunge into the world of CCD imaging with a used QHY8. OSC, yes but it's a start. FIRST LIGHT image This is a stack of 20 5 minute subs, dark, bias and flat (obviously the flats didn't work as expected). Stacked/Preprocessed in Neb3. Minor clean up in PS CS6. I did not fix the dust motes as you can see. C-11 @ F2 autoguided. This is a test... this is only a test. :)

Hey thanks Marc, I'm thinking the flat intensity may have been too low. I keep hearing 1/3 full well depth but Dr. Stark who wrote Nebulosity 3 (and previous versions) started that the 1/2 - 2/3 is fine. So I'm going to try that on the next run.

Russ, nice work man. Any thoughts on why the flats didn't calibrate? Detail++, Marc

Thanks - it's out of collimation, flats didn't work well enough and over processed but it's a start.
