shot under a ( almost ) full moon on 1/18/11. 30s x 120 + darks iso 800 my first attempt I know what I'm doing next new moon ; )

Every tome I have tried to capture it all I get is a blur but I think it is mostly due to using a digital camera, keep trying man, discoveries happen along the way is what I have found. Nice Shot

Nikon D50 . I'm just beginning to understand what people mean when they say this baby is hard to get framed correctly .

Thanks man . The first clear night I've had in about two week coincided with an almost full moon so this was more of a training exercise ( I've only be at this two months ) . I was suprised / encouraged to see the satillite galaxies , and can't wait to get a good crack at this .

Great photo... it is amazing the light receptors the human eye lack.. imagine what the night sky would look like to an owl. I would imagine your next picture will really bring out the arms if the galaxy...good job!
