Processing and Technique

A group dedicated to working through the toughest part of AP, processing.

So this is all post imaging. Nothing prior to the closing of the shutter? I'm in!
  • Marc Basti

Hey Trevor I figure somebody can break that into another group if they want, more of a hardware thing. My aim here was to have the link thing going for references and after that if people wanted to break off in different software directions say Maxim or Photoshop or etc. Kinda just see what evolves. Ok, a new learning experience. I'm game.

Three things I wanted to post here. First, I'm in the early part of studying Warren Keller's tutorials:

    http://www.ip4ap.com/

    And Adam Block's tutorials:

    http://www.caelumobservatory.com/video/dvd.shtml

I've spoken with Warren on the phone, he's at the top of the game when it comes to processing. Both these tutorial sets are just amazing.

Third, I read a post on here about 'getting rid of the green'. The absolute best thing I've found so far is Hasta La Vista Green. (HLVG). It's a Photoshop plug-in, and you basically just run it, simple as that, and voila, no more green in your shot. Wonderful tool. Anyways, just three things I wanted to contribute in this section.

Jeff, this is the second place I've heard of using HLVG. Did you find it to be a stable plug-in? Looks interesting. I took the liberty of posting these links in Tutorial Links. That way when the comments get buried after time, there will be an easy way to find these helpful links
