This is me pouring cement into a cement column which will become the base of the pier. getting cloudy and rainy here, will wait until saturday or sunday to install the actual pier.
it's south west actually. So my deck faces due east, perfect for telescopes. I can see north and all the way to horizon south. Good coverage of sky but definitely some glow.
The best thing about my setup is this is just outside my bedroom, so my USB cables from scope to telescope go right next to my bed, I literally put my laptop on my table next to bed and telescope while sleeping, wake up if guider fails usually indicating I've gone past meridian and shot is over.
Charles, the PZT kit costs about $500.oo. Then you need to buy the plywood to build the table itself, and paint for it.Or, check the POD files, Get the drawings and build your own PZT table.
If you decide to get one or build your own, contact me and I'll give you some pointers.
