6x600s exposures through an H-alpha filter, using an STL-11000M and Takahashi TOA150 apo refractor. Acquired, stacked, and sigma clip combined in MaximDL5Pro, processed in Photoshop CS3, gradient removal using Gradient Xterminator, and noise removal using Noel Carboni's Astronomy Tools.

There is so much nebulosity in the area that it risks swamping the Tulip!

Also of note, just to the lower right of the Tulip, is the visible star in the famous binary system Cygnus X-1....the other 'star' being a black hole. (cue in music from Rush's "Cygnus X-1 Part1" & "Part2"...lol !!)
