I have yet to use my ST-80 for guiding mainly because I do not have a DSLR as of yet but I am going to modify a webcam to try out as a guider. The ST-80 is handy to have for those nights when I just want to have a quick look see at something. I did some modifications to and old Meade mount I had from years ago to fit the ST-80, my first time out with it I was amazed at what I could see with it. All very Cool

hey we have the same setup. Actually I use the Explore Scientific 127mm refractor a lot more than my SCT, but other than that it's the same setup. beans!!!

Thanks Mark, I have been doing so much research on cameras over the past couple of months I decided to give some webcams a shot first so I can learn all the other software to go with the imaging before I decide what photo equipment to get. Still in a bit of a debate in my head but I know it will be resolved soon.

Thanks Mark, Funny you should ask about autoguiding, I just got a spc900nc webcam that I am going to give a try with soon but I am not sure about the interface between the laptop and the guide port in the mount. There is so much info on the web but not sure about it because of conflicting info
