Share 'Gear communication issues.'

OK astrogabbers I need help. I'm trying to get started in AP. I'm using an Orion 80ED w Sirius Goto GEM, I have a Canon T3, and Mac laptop. I know very little (yet) about what I need to know, but right now I can't get all my gear talking to each other. I've DLed Nebulosity, PHD (the demos), and I've watched the tutorials.
